1 - Corn Dogs, for those of you that are clueless or maybe not from the south - hot dogs on a stick. One word.....glorious.



2 - Baby sounds, preferrably when they are coming from my sweet nephew. Screaming, giggling, growling - the kid is a chatterbox. But it's the best sound I've ever heard.



3 - Coming home to find The H ice-ing'd (is that a word??) the 2 dozen cupcakes I had left to finish. What a guy.



4 - Roger Federer vs. Andy Roddick



5 - 3 day workweeks - makes this thing called work "tolerable"

I've been such a slacker lately, I really have - I'm sorry! I promise to be better!!


1 - Tumblr - better than blogger, better than facebook - I am addicted! Check out my site - it's like a place to store pictures, songs, videos, quotes, blogs - ALL in one! It's amazing!!


2 - The new DMB Cd.....it made me remember why I love these guys so much.


3 - Watermelon, I love summer time - because that means busting out the melons (no, not THOSE melons). Although, too much watermelon means you will be up all night peeing....just saying.



4 - Movie night with The H, this week we watched The Reader and I was reminded just why Kate Winslet is in fact our generations best actress



5 - Concerts,...last night me and a couple of my girlie friends saw No Doubt - who btw, can I just say Gwen Stefani is AMAZING. Love her. She may just be my new girl crush. Next up, Jason Mraz and hopefully Mat Kearney.

Grace in Small Things 5/365

Geez I really suck at keeping up with these don't I?? Anyhow, here are a few things I'm thankful for this Sunday:

1. 70 degree weather this weekend, fresh air through the apartment.
2. The smell of fresh baking pizza in the oven & the cute husband who made it
3. The one day fluke virus that enabled me to crawl into bed at 7:00 last night, and watch the SATC movie and pass out. 14 full hours of sleep, just what the doctor ordered.
4. Coming home Friday night, after my "date night" with SIL and the little guy. Smelling of sweet babies (or as the H says A&D ointment), whatever it is I'll take it.
5. Fresh clean sheets....ummmm the smell of downy filling my bedroom, must be bliss.

So I've been slacking lately. A lot! Whoa. Here it goes:


1) Homemade bananna bread - delish
2) New Gossip Girl episodes 2 weeks in a row (Blair Waldorf how I love you!)
3) Random text messages from my bff just to say "I love you" just what I needed on a dreary Thursday
4) Jason Mraz - I could listen to him until I die, that voice - it's simply heaven
5) A weekend filled to the max, I am so blessed to have great family and friends, I may complain sometimes about being too busy - but secretly I wouldn't change it for the world

3. Snow! Leading to 3 day weekends (cross your fingers!!)

Grace in Small Things 1/365

I've seen these posts floating around on the interwebs for quite some time now & decided to see exactly what all the fuss is about. So I read up this weekend, and discovered this website & the meaning behind all these posts. Schmutzie created Grace in Small Things as a daily reminder to take notice of the positive things we tend to overlook. The goal is to post 5 things your grateful for every day, for a total of 365 days.
I think this is a fabulous idea - so much of our lives are spent complaining about all the things we hate, the things that drive us crazy & the things that make our days - well a little bit longer. So dear friends. I'm gonna give it go. I've been trying to keep track of those things that make me happy & while I may not do it everyday, I'm gonna try for every other day at the least.

So here it goes:
1) Brand new glossy magazines, in bed on a lazy Sunday afternoon
2) Friends who call "just to make sure you're still alive" after a 3 day hiatus, due to your 3rd round of flu
3) T.I.'s Road to Redemption
4) Opening up the dishwasher and realizing someone actually ran it and put the dishes away
5) Laundry - washed, folded and put away
