One of my favorite blogs - Wendy over at This Amazing Day is hosting a new link up - GO CHECK IT OUT!
Reading: 50 Shades of Grey. I swore I wouldn’t do it. I wouldn’t get sucked in. BUT I DID. The writing is sub par, the storyline feels vaguely similar to Twilight, but oh my word, I cannot PUT. IT. DOWN.
Listening To: The new John Mayer CD - Amazing. I thought he was lost for good, but he's back & I've fallen in love with him all over again. "I'm a good man with a good heart, had a tough time, got a rough start, but I finally learned to let it go.
Now I'm right here, and I'm right now." So perfect. Now let's find him a some scissors and a razor shall we??
Watching: Trying to catch up on some many DVR'D shows! A few of my favorites right now - Scandal (SO GOOD), Private Practice, and Vampire Diaries. Let's not forget my fave reality guilty obsessions like Mob Wives, Basketball Wives and RH of any county!
Wishing: Our vacation would hurry up and get here! Can't wait to see The H's brother and family in 2 weeks!
Thankful: For this beautiful life that I have. Trying not to ever take it for granted, even when a certain little miss is in the middle of a full blown meltdown, or crying because she can't find her "gabba, gabba, gabba shirt". Trying to remember this is what I've always wanted, the life I waited for, for so long. Even if they do include the "terrible two's" - I wouldn't change ONE second of it.
So tell me, what are you up to? And don't forget to link up below!

This year marked my second "official" Mother's Day. It started off great with a lunch date to see Grammy Pat, who is without a doubt one of my most treasured friends - for many reasons, but mostly because of the way she loves my baby girl. Pat and I met almost 10 years ago, at work - we immediately hit it off. Girlfriend has a wicked sense of humor, and is the one person I can always count on to make me laugh until I pee my pants. She is a special gem, one of those friends that you are lucky to have. When I was pregnant with Sophia, she asked me - "Can I be Aunt Pat", without even hesitating I said "Nah, Sophia has plenty of aunts, but what she doesn't have is a Grammy - you can be Grammy Pat". And since that day she has doted on my little girl, and loved her like her own. She sends her care packages for every single holiday, and literally beams when she is around. SO needless to say we had a great lunch. Sophia was in rare form, so excited (maybe it was the french fries) at one point jumped up and screamed for the whole town to hear "OH MY GOD". Love that kid!

Remember me? Long time right? Gosh, between working and being a mama, and all that comes with both I've neglected this sweet blog. How do other mama's do it? Do it all? And with more than one kid? I swear, it's one thing I will never get. Moving on....Sophia is in full fledge toddler mode, and I have to say I LOVE THIS STAGE. Despite the occassional meltdown, and temper tantrum - this girl is SO. MUCH. FUN!! She is learning in leaps and bounds, and talking in sentences - the other night she looked over at me and said "Mama's pretty". I COULD DIE! We've had a blast these last few months!! Here's a little recap: Surprises in the mail from Grammy Pat!
